What Is a Domain Name?

A domain name is simply that which is typed into the browser to access a website. A domain name is simply that which is typed into the browser to access a website. To access google site, one types www.google.com. The underlined word is Google domain name. The domain name of this site is www.mummyjobs.blogspot.com. Domain names usually have an extension .com, .net, .org, .asia ,.asia, .tel, etc.www.yahoo.com is also a domain name. www.ydogtraining.com is also a domain name. In a nutshell, it is the web address that takes you to a site.
